I wandered through the charming colonial streets of Santo Domingo, the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement in the Americas. Then, I hit the beach in Punta Cana, soaking up the sun on sugar-white sand and cooling off in the turquoise waters. Don’t forget to try the local cuisine – the fresh seafood and flavorful dishes are simply divine!
This article might be focusing on countries starting with just “D,” but I can’t forget the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)! I hear it’s home to some of the most incredible rainforests in Africa, teeming with rare wildlife like gorillas and chimpanzees. Maybe next time I’m craving an African adventure, the DRC will be my destination of choice!
